On this high profile site located by Melbourne’s Yarra River the commanding tapered shape of Kew House 1 disguises the three storeys within. This is a functional 3 bedroom home designed by Vibe Design Group. A central band of windows pierces the main body and affords the expansive living area a framed view over Studley park. Telescopic doors peel back and encourage flow to the north facing deck and swimming pool. A slatted timber fin cuts through the lounge and entry and contains a hidden doorway, which ascends to the Master Bedroom.
The plan includes surprise elements such as the concealed butler’s pantry and hidden entry to the upper level bedroom, this is a well resolved interior which shows restraint and great attention to detail.
