Co-existing with Nature

Custom metal cladding is the feature here, while cantilevered end ensures the building and the tree can coexist without compromise.

Hayes Road

Above: Hayes Road project Strathmore front façade. A family home that utilised a minimal material pallet to provide a low-maintenance home for a young family. The floor plan layout was open and provided a guest bedroom on the lower level.

Above: This front entry shot of our Morell st Mornington project demonstrates the use of screening for privacy while enhancing the front façade.

Above: The pool side view of Morell St Mornington and the screening the entry way to front door.
Below: Our Morell st Mornington project not only had views to Port Phillip Bay it also had a magnificent old Oak Tree in the backyard, this image shows our use of glass and the double height ceiling in the rumpus room that affords a treed view from the main living area upstairs via a wall of glass.

Tramway

Our Tramway Parade project where we designed the garage entry into the building so as not to stand out, the metal cladding has a sense of movement with the dropdown section providing the entry to the lower level.

Bowrings

Below: 12 Bowrings Rd Redhill has views of both Port Phillip and Western Port Bays, the balance of the entry façade highlighted by the custom roof panels sets the tone of this amazing homestead.

The barn with all the external trimmings of the main house sits beautifully just to the southern side of the property towards Port Phillip Bay.

Stonework & Copper Tails

Below: Entry details with dry stack Mt Gambier stone and downpipes with copper tail as it travels over the stonework.

Detailing from another era

Much of the detailing reflects that of building from another era which helps make this homestead complete.

In the distance...

Along the expansive deck area under veranda your eye is drawn to the Barn in the distance, with a glimpse of the open study area through the nearby window.

Fawkner House Blairgowrie

This zoom on the front elevation shows the change of angle to front battened door as well as large slider to private deck space with feature pond; the reflection from the pond can be seen on the glass panel wall guiding your eyeline into the library space.

Driveway Entrance

Driveway entrance to Fawkner House Blairgowrie showing integrated panels to garage door as here we have utilised the low side of the land for an ease of entry from street level.

The cantilever is key to this front elevation; our aim was to keep the stairs up very light weight in appearance so as not to block the floating façade.
Lower deck area with beautifully crafted batten screen in spotted gum, while overhead we have incorporated a screen/pergola for absolute privacy.
